Accounting Manager | UTC Carrier | Los Angeles, CA

ventilating, refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems and

Carrier is seeking an Accounting Manager for a potential acquisition in
the region of Santa Anna.
Role:
- Manage integration and full compliance with UTC / Carrier financial
standrards an procedures.
- Manage and direct all matters pertaining to planning, accounting,
reporting, and controls.
- Provide management with reports, analysis, and guidance relative to
forecasts, results, financial planning and ad-hoc/prospective financial
analysis necessary to effectively operate the Business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner and provide counsel to GM of the business.
- Complete full integration of the acquisition
- Preparation of the financial statements in accordance with local, UTC
and Carrier policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
Ensure compliance with UTC and Carrier schedules for consolidation
reporting; ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance and adherence to GAAP
standards etc.
- Maintain a system of internal accounting controls adequate to safe
guard the assets, prevent waste and assure compliance with UTC and
Carrier policies and applicable laws and regulations pertaining to
financial matters.
- Preparation of annual Business Plan and presentation to next level up.
- Preparation and submission of monthly forecasts throughout the year.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with the Corporation's
internal and external audit functions to ensure proper understanding of
Carrier accounting policies and procedures, and various checks and
balances as applicable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree required (accoutning and or finance)
- MBA or advanced degree in accounting/ business administration would be a plus
- 5 years of work experience in the accounting field
- Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley
- Knowledge of Hyperion would be a plus
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement
- Teamwork
- Strong and effective communication skills
